About me

Hi! I’m Luna(like the moon)—powered by books, playlists, and travel plans (sometimes all at once). I love reading because it lets me live a thousand lives while staying in bed, and travelling because it reminds me that I am just a tiny speck in this vast universe. Music is my constant companion, whether I’m deep in thought, on a long journey, or dramatically staring out a window like in a movie scene.

I enjoy good conversations, discovering new places (and of course, FOOD), and collecting stories along the way. Curious by nature and slightly allergic to boredom, I believe life is better when you’re learning something new, laughing a little, and singing along—even if you don’t know all the lyrics(which is my forte).

Resume

I’m a licensed English teacher with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English, and I hold both a teaching license and a TESOL certification. I have been in the teaching field for about 8 years. I began my teaching career right after graduating from university(2017) and have since gained solid experience teaching English as a Second Language to learners of different ages and proficiency levels.

My teaching approach is student-centered and communicative, focusing on real-life language use. I use a combination of structured lessons, guided conversation, and practical exercises to help students improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I also adapt my teaching methods based on each learner’s goals, whether they are studying English for daily communication, academic purposes, or professional growth.

I believe that a positive and supportive learning environment is key to language success. I encourage active participation, provide clear feedback, and help students build confidence step by step. My interests in reading, travelling, and music allow me to create engaging lessons that incorporate cultural topics and meaningful conversations.

I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your English learning goals in a fun, effective, and structured way.

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English, with formal training in teaching methodologies and effective ESL teaching strategies. I also completed a research study on students’ English proficiency and learning readiness, using the TOEIC as an assessment tool. This background allows me to tailor lessons based on learners’ needs and proficiency levels.

Work Experience

I’ve been teaching ESL for several years in both classroom and online settings. In 2016, I completed a six-month teaching internship in Vietnam, and after graduating, I worked at a private school in the Philippines. I returned to Vietnam in 2018 and have been teaching ESL in schools while also handling online classes since 2020.

My teaching philosophy is simple: learning English should be practical, engaging, and confidence-building. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and expressing themselves. My strengths include adapting lessons to different levels, explaining concepts clearly, and working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Certifications

I am a licensed professional teacher, having obtained my teaching license in the same year I graduated from university. I also hold a TESOL certification, which equips me with effective strategies for teaching English to non-native speakers.
