1. Platform Overview

uLanguage is an online platform that connects language learners with independent language teachers worldwide.

•Teachers are independent contractors, not employees
• uLanguage does not guarantee learning outcomes

 

2. Eligibility

To use uLanguage, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent)
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Comply with all applicable laws

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conditions.

 

3. Account Registration

Users are responsible for:

• Maintaining account confidentiality
• All activities under their account
• Providing accurate and updated information

uLanguage is not liable for unauthorized access caused by user negligence.

 

4. Teacher Accounts

Teachers agree that:

• All information provided is truthful
• Certifications and qualifications are legitimate
• Teaching services are delivered professionally
• uLanguage may review, approve, or remove teacher profiles

uLanguage reserves the right to suspend or remove any teacher who violates platform policies.

 

5. Lesson Booking & Payments

• All payments must be made through uLanguage
• Off-platform transactions are strictly prohibited
• Lesson prices are set by teachers
• uLanguage may charge a service fee

uLanguage is not responsible for disputes outside the platform.

 

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation policies vary by teacher and must be clearly stated in the teacher profile.

• Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeited fees
• Refunds, if applicable, are processed through uLanguage only

 

7. Code of Conduct

Users must not:

• Harass, threaten, or discriminate
• Share inappropriate or illegal content
• Request or offer off-platform payments
• Misrepresent identity or qualifications

Violations may result in immediate account termination.

 

8. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, and technology belong to uLanguage.

Teachers retain ownership of their teaching materials but grant uLanguage a non-exclusive license to display and promote content on the platform.

 

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Use of uLanguage is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and protect user data.

 

10. Platform Availability

uLanguage aims for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the platform without prior notice.

 

10.1  Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate accounts
• Remove content
• Restrict platform access

without prior notice for policy violations.

 

10.2 Changes to Terms

uLanguage may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
